Commercial licence
Buy seats, activate the key on each Mac, and free a Mac on the dashboard.
Widgetful is free for personal use: hobby and private projects. Commercial use needs one seat for each Mac. Commercial use is any use for a business, an employer or a client, and any paid work, also as a freelancer or a contractor. See the terms.
Buy seats
- Open the pricing page.
- Type the number of seats, then click Buy with Stripe.
- Pay on the Stripe page.
We send the licence key and a link to your dashboard to the email address that you used at checkout. One key covers all your seats.
Activate the key
- Click Widgie in the menu bar, then click Settings….
- Open the Licence tab.
- Choose Commercial use (I have a licence key).
- Paste the key in the Licence key field, then click Activate.
Do these steps on each Mac. Each Mac uses one seat. A new user also sees this choice in the setup window, in step 4, Choose your use.
Remove the key from a Mac
Open Settings… › Licence and click Remove the key from this Mac. The seat is free for another Mac.
The licence check
A Mac with a key checks the key with our server when you enter it, and then each 30 days. The app sends only these facts:

The install ID is a random number that the app makes. It is not the serial number of the Mac.
If a check cannot reach the server, the app tries again each hour. If the check fails for 48 hours after the check date, the app turns normal sleep on and stops its features. The panel then shows Widgetful is stopped and a Try again button. A Mac for personal use sends nothing.
Messages in the app

The dashboard
The dashboard shows your key, your seats and each Mac that uses the key.
- Open the dashboard.
- Type the email address that you used at checkout.
- Open the link in the email. The link works for 30 days.
Free a Mac
Click Free this Mac next to the Mac. The seat is free at once, and you can activate the key on another Mac. The freed Mac stops at its next check. To use it again on that Mac, click Try again there.
Buy more seats
Type the number of seats under Buy more seats, then pay. Your key stays the same. Each Mac gets the new seat count at its next check.
Note: A refund or a chargeback ends the key on all Macs.
