Resources
Memory, processes and disk
Widgetful warns you before the Mac runs out of memory, processes or disk.
A job can start so many processes that it fills the process limit of your user. Then the Mac stops to respond. A warning before the limit gives you time to act.
What Widgetful watches
| Resource | What Widgetful reads |
|---|---|
| Memory pressure | The level that macOS reports: normal, warn or critical. |
| Processes | The processes of your user against the macOS limit (kern.maxprocperuid). |
| Free disk | The free space on the start disk. |
The Settings › Resources tab shows the limits.
Warnings
Before each limit, Widgetful sends a notice and Widgie in the menu bar shows X eyes and a red light. Open the panel to see which resource is near its limit.
