Awake
Timer and work modes
Stay awake for a set time, while a process runs, or while your agents work.
Widgetful has three ways to decide how long the Mac stays awake. The guards apply in all three.
The timer
Choose a time in the panel. When the time ends, normal sleep comes back. To set the default time, open Settings › Awake › Timer.
Awake while a process runs
Stay awake while a chosen process runs, for example claude or go test.
- Open Settings › Awake.
- Under Stay awake while these processes run, type a process name, for example
go, and click Add. - Click Stay awake now while these processes run.
The mode uses the list of names at its start. A change to the list applies the next time.
Awake while agents work
Stay awake while at least one connected agent session works or waits for you. When the last session is done, normal sleep comes back.
How a work mode starts and ends
You usually start awake mode before the work starts. So a work mode waits for the first work. After it sees work, it ends when the work ends. If no work starts within the wait time, normal sleep comes back.
